This piece actually comes from all the exhaustion and emotional turmoil I’ve been through. Every time life becomes too much, I find myself crying right before taking a shower. The bathroom is literally the only place where I can just let go—a safe little sanctuary where I can release all my thoughts and feelings, and let them wash away with the water, just like my tears. It’s so private and personal, a space where I can truly be myself, no masks, no pretending. It’s where I feel free to be vulnerable, to cry out all the things I hide from the world.
